I am writing to contest parking citation issued on June 30, 2026. I have enclosed a receipt from the Chicago City Clerk showing that a valid city vehicle sticker was purchased on June 5, 2026 — twenty-five days before the citation was issued — for this vehicle. Under Chicago Municipal Code § 9-100-060(a)(4), the existence of a valid sticker is a codified affirmative defense. The City’s own records will confirm the purchase. I respectfully request dismissal on the basis of this documented compliance.

The letter’s first paragraph, word for word. Dismissed by the City on August 26, 2026.
